By car

The campus of TU Dortmund University is located near the Dortmund West motorway junction, where the Sauerland line A45 crosses the Ruhr expressway B1/A40. The Dortmund-Eichlinghofen exit on the A45 leads to the South Campus, while the Dortmund-Dorstfeld exit on the A40 leads to the North Campus. The university is signposted at both exits.

By bus and train

The TU Dortmund University S-Bahn station is located directly on the North Campus. From there, the S1 S-Bahn line runs every 15 or 30 minutes to Dortmund Central Station and in the opposite direction to Düsseldorf Central Station via Bochum, Essen, and Duisburg. The university can also be reached by bus lines 445, 447, and 462. Timetable information can be found on the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association website, and DSW21 also offers an interactive route map.

The H-Bahn

One of the landmarks of TU Dortmund University is the H-Bahn. Line 1 runs every 10 minutes between Dortmund Eichlinghofen and the Technology Center via Campus South and Dortmund University S, while Line 2 runs every 5 minutes between Campus North and Campus South. It covers this distance in two minutes.

By plane

From Dortmund Airport, the AirportExpress takes you to Dortmund Central Station in just over 20 minutes, and from there you can take the S-Bahn to the university. A wider range of international flights is available at Düsseldorf Airport, around 60 kilometers away, which can be reached directly by S-Bahn from the university station.

Moving forward together - networking for early career researchers

One of the aims of DAEDALUS is to organize interdisciplinary networking meetings for scientists.

These meetings will be based on direct exchange between all those involved in the development and use of spectroscopy methods. Early Career Researchers (ECR) will have the opportunity here:

Gain insights into different spectroscopic approaches
Discuss methodological challenges together
Find cooperation partners for interdisciplinary projects
Build a sustainable network across disciplinary boundaries

The meetings are intended to create a platform on which new ideas can emerge and existing collaborations can be revitalized.
